Welcome 

After the success of the first international IEEE BioPhotonics Workshop (Parma, Italy 2011) and the second one (Taipei, Taiwan, 2013), the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Research Council of Italy and the IEEE Italy section are pleased to announce the third appointment of the series.

Throughout these two previous editions, the BioPhotonics Conference has been established as a high-level meeting in the area of light-based techniques for medicine, life science, agriculture, environmental science and many other areas of application. The goal of this Workshop is to bring together researchers worldwide to exchange their knowledge and experience, as well as their research developments in a stimulating multidisciplinary forum of experts. As usual, invited lectures as well as oral and poster contributions will be present in the program.

This is year the IEEE BioPhotonics Conference will be part of the "Florence Biophotonics Week", which will include also ICOB 2015 (International Conference on Biophotonics, 18-20 May 2015). In the afternoon of May 20th a shared session of both Conferences will be organized.
